ICBSMES 2026 will be held at the University of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque. Founded in 1889, UNM is a major public research university whose campus is distinguished by its Pueblo Revival architecture and the dramatic backdrop of the Sandia Mountains.

Albuquerque offers a fitting setting for a conference devoted to building science, materials engineering, and sustainability. Its high-desert environment, distinctive regional architecture, and growing research and technology sectors provide a compelling context for examining climate-responsive design and resilient construction.

• The letter confirms the participant’s intended attendance only. It does not constitute financial sponsorship, guarantee visa approval, or influence the decision of a U.S. embassy, consulate, or border authority. Visa decisions remain entirely at the discretion of the relevant U.S. authorities.
